There's fighting professionally in your 40s and it can be done. But 56? Come on man.

Good to hear he is a free man but at 56 he really should be doing shuffle board or croquet.

Nunn was a bad mfer in his day. When Toney upset him he was a top 3, top 5 p4p talked about guy.

That said I got zero desire to see him fooking kickboxing 29yrs after his peak in boxing & after 16yrs in the clink at age 56.

State commissions need to end this low barrier of entry bs with combat sports or combat sports need to bring some tiers to their respective sports to put some distance between real high level combat sports & sh^tshow novelty fights. Sh^t is a bad look for combat sports.

His sentence should have been two to four years. Not 24 years. That is crazy.

The prison system is a privately-run for-profit system. They are one of the biggest crony capitalists out there.

I can walk to where Nunn vs Toney was held in about 10 mins. I've lived my whole life here in Davenport, Ia, the bigger of the Quad Cities. I cannot see 7,000 people today showing up anywhere in the area for this. I wouldn't think it could be made a moneymaker off of the gate, that is for sure.
I will say, and am happy to say that Nunn has always had a lot of support here in the area, even during his term. Up till a few months ago, my step father was working with one of Nunn's sons at a local old folks home and it really sounded at the time that he was doing well adjusting, granted he had only been out a few months.
