I think you could make an argument that today's heavyweights likely hit harder due to their increase in size when compared to fighters from the 'Iron chin days'.
Also Wilder and AJ have pretty poor defence and get hit a lot more often more cleaner, this could be the real problem here not their chin. Especially when couple with bigger HW's.Comment

Hrgovic is over Wilder for me but until you get guys that get stopped by Known light punchers you can’t really call them weak chinned if they took shots from a Wlad Klitschko and Wilder . In Wilders case he clearly doesn’t react well to punches however that coupled with a low volume punch out put doesn’t do him favors either . I’d say AJ having been against the more power punchers is the most proven ,you can see Wilders right hand a mile away even though he’s very fast this also is going to make it harder for him to defeat a 6”9 skilled individual so it’s telling that in order for a Fury loss it’s not going to be a Wilder type that does it and out of the three he is the weak link .Comment

Yes none of them have really separated themselves from the chasing heavyweight pack entirely 'There was a point in Lewis & Kiltschko's career where? They separated themselves from the pack 'And became the bench mark for the rest of the heavyweights in terms of peak performance'.The top heavyweights today all have certain attributes that got them in the positions they're in but they've all shown some pretty significant flaws that make it unlikely any of them dominate the division in the same way Lewis or Wlad did.
AJ's loss to Ruiz, the way Wilder was dominated by Fury and Fury struggling with Wallin just tells me that any one of these guys can potentially lose to anyone in the top 10 if it's not their night. This just makes it more interesting, the division's in a good place now. There isn't that one dominant guy which makes for more competitive and entertaining bouts.
Tyson Fury has shown glimpses of separation, but at times still looks beatable 'You get the impression that a rock solid, determined well school heavyweight' could give him issues. A fighter who does the basic's well and is big enough to just wade forward.
Tyson Fury is about of a conundrum, you just don't know what he will produce.Comment
