  • Comments Thread For: Fury's Promoter: Wilder's Ridiculous Excuses Are Just Pathetic

Frank Warren, promoter for WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, is far from pleased with what he calls "excuses" coming from Deontay Wilder. Fury made a statement back in February, when he dropped Wilder twice and stopped him in the seventh round to capture the WBC world title at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Most pathetic excuse you could think of from a guy who acts like a true bad man and says he wants to kill people to turn round and say his fancy dress costume was too heavy, I mean come on

That the reasons for wilders loss are true !

That wilder has puny legs which couldn't support a silly costume on his ring walk so will be working on a lighter costume next time and not skipping leg day.

That he was carrying an injury which hindered his performance but that it wont be a problem coming into the rematch what with the surgery and rehab time C-19 has afforded him.

That Wilder will be a completely different fighter for the 3rd fight.

For a promoter, Warren isn't doing much to amp the inevitable rematch.

Slagging Wilder is just picking the low hanging fruit. Warren should be building Wilder up to be the super conditioned half human, half hybrid Wilder claims to be.

Promote the fight. Create the buzz. Raise the bar. Anything less is wasting everyone's time.

Not a big Warren fan, but Wilder is getting extremely annoying with all the excuses. Take the loss like a man.

Lol... How many times do we have to read the same damn article?

Wilder has excuses blah blah blah. Write one article explaining the flapping glove with out blind dismissal.

Fury was a dirty mf'er that night. I bet you Fury's mouthpiece will say otherwise. I've never seen a boxer whose gloves become that floppy. NEVER (granted, I don't watch fights under 120 lbs).

Have you ever had your hands taped and fitted into a glove so tight and then tried to maneuver them into a fist lower inside the glove and back again all while in the middle of a fight with the officials, judges, crowd cameras and world watching, just to give you absolutely no advantage but disqualified and banned for life if caught in a world championship fight ?

                  Yeah...I thought so.

Honestly, if you think the floppy glove narrative has some merit, replicate it...Show me, dont tell me.

I know what I saw in that fight and it was one guy getting hammered and humiliated while being incapable of doing anything to resist it.

But be sure next time I'll be all eyes on 'floppy' gloves as I'm sure everyone else will be.
