You can miss Kid Galahad with the idea of his being passed over for a bout being billed as a featherweight title unification clash. The featherweight contender from Sheffield, England reclaimed his place as a mandatory challenger to the International Boxing Federation (IBF) title following an 8th round stoppage of Claudio Marrero this past February. The win puts him in position for a potential rematch with countryman Josh Warrington (30-0, 7KOs), against whom he dropped a questionable 12-round decision last June in the defending titlist's hometown of Leeds, England.

    Dry your eyes Kid....

Can holds a title while you hold your opponents. You had a chance and blew it...

There was nothing questionable about the result either..........

Can Xu is not as bad as this eejit thinks he is. He's quite skilled and very very entertaining to watch. Has insane punch volume. Regularly throws upwards of a thousand punches a fight.

Can Xu would beat Galahad up IMO. He’s just being bitter.

Well he would if Galahad weren't allowed to hold to such a degree. I really hate that about Kid, he has all the talent but he's so dirty in the ring. Toss in elbows, headbutts and all. He's basically featherweight BHop in the ring.

He’s got a horrible style, I did think he was unlucky not to get the nod against Warrington, but he was just spoiling far too much. Think I had it level.

I rate that Xu, depending on the odds I might stick a few quid on him to outpoint Warrington.

              Exactly this!

And, whilst I agree it's not a real unification fight, with two high volume feather fists, it's likely to be a bit more entertaining than Barry's effort!

Galahad is right, Xu Can is not a real world champion.

For the same reason that Canelo never won a real belt at 168 and why Golovkin never tied Hopkins' record of middleweight title defenses.

The matchups sound good to me. I don't think Galahad can hang with the Chinese Monster anyway. Xu Can doesn't have a lot of ko's. Which is sorta surprising the way he throws punches. Oh man does that kid throw! And accurate. And keeps getting better everytime out. Good team behind him. Agree with other post and how fun his fights are to watch. His lack of head movement might contribute to that. He doesn't just eat punches he devours with a smile.

I think it's worth putting a few bucks on Xu . Whenever a fighter with an abnormally busy workrate faces a fighter with no power there is a chance of the latter being outworked and losing a decision ( assuming it's not a complete mismatch ) . That being said I will be picking warrington to win , but if I was to bet on the fight I would put something small on can for sure . But warrington is just a better fighter imo and I believe that he hits harder than his record gives him credit for which will help keep Xu's volume a bit lower . Iam thinking warrington via a competitive decision . His usual I guess haha . It will be a fun fight being that they both chuck lots of punches .
