Bob Arum was asked when he’s going to match Crawford with one of the PBC guys. He responded that Danny Garcia and Shawn Porter aren’t elite fighters, and said he would rather match Bud with Alexander Bes***** or Mean Machine, fighters he of course promotes #CrawfordBenavidez

The level where Top Rank gave him minimum of 3 million dollars guaranteed per fight to avoid him becoming a free agent.

Terrence you're way in over your head, youre not #1 p4p , your 3 biggest names are a over the hill washed up amir khan, a very overrated Jeff horn, whose only real win was a robbery against Pacquiao and a very small gamboa who had to move up 2 weight classes to fight you. You cannot be calling yourself the "best welterweight in the world" if you havent fought the other best welterweights in the world, let alone the #1 p4p. Tell your stingy promoter bob arum to pay your opponents real money and they'll fight you no doubt

I THINK HE WOULD RATHER RETIRE WITHOUT FIGHTING THE BEST SO HE DOESNT LOSE... HE WONT EVEN ADMIT EGIS DROPPED HIM...

LOSING TO A GUY LIKE SPENCE OR PORTER WILL BRING HIM BACK DOWN TO EARTH...

HE HAS DECIDED ITS BETTER OF RETIRING WITHOUT FIGHTING THEM AND JUST WALKING INTO THE FAKE AZZ HALL OF FAME...

bob and bud are twins at this point... They all lie so much its a joke... Bob the cr00k put a guy danny knocked out 5 years ago in against craw=fraud on ppv...

No wonder ESPN threw buds ass off ppv and back to free tv...

Bud is just another zurdo ramirez... I dont even care about his career anymore... Guys like regis, josh and jose are more entertaining anyway....

The sooner bud retires the better it is for boxing.. All he does is lie and fight tomato cans and fans of both sides fight each other for nothing..

FYI - Kownackis last fight on PBC/FOX got more views that buds last fight on espn lol... fans are waking up too!

bud thinks less is more, less fans more money

bob is still trying to explain to him that less ppv buys = less money, not more

This makes sense - as contexts change, contracts will have to change accordingly.

I'll be interested to see what promotions come up with re: the fights without crowds. I think of course spectators will feel the loss of energy (and I wonder if/how this will affect the fighters), but I know I still enjoy undercard fights where practically no one is in the audience yet. Some really good promo video work, maybe some online live-chats and coverage, I can imagine this working.

I'm also curious how networks will respond. Of course boxing can continue the trend of moving to online streaming services, but if boxing can get up and running before the major team sports (especially with some glossy video packages), maybe there is a chance here that TV networks will be more receptive to showing fights.

Lastly, I'm curious about PPV sales (something I don't know a lot about, tbh). How much of PPV sales are made up of sports bars or other group events? Are people more or less likely to order a PPV during lockdown? What do you think?
