It only gets worse the more he cuts interviews either blatantly lying, making excuses or exposing himself.

I don't know what's worse: Wilder saying he was a zombie as the reason he lost to top opposition, or Crawford straight up avoiding top opposition. At least Wilder F'n tried. TWICE. And about to do it again. Three fights against top guy in his division, no asterisks on any other win except Gerald Washington.

I never thought the day would come where even with excuses, Deontay Wilder - win/lose/draw - has earned more respect from me than Terence Crawford.

Hindsight is 20/20 but even Crawford has to realize he's not in the best situation as it concerns his career in the immediate. We all want to see Crawford vs Spence and I'm someone who is picking Crawford RIGHT NOW but if Spence gets better looks and gets him even more prepared for Crawford while he fights guys like Kell Brook trying to make 147 again, Spence may end up with more of the edge BY THE TIME they fight.

Side bar - How much longer can Spence make 147 healthy?

I'm not going to defend Crawford's recent competition, but if you think he is the first one to do this then you must have only watched boxing for a year or so.

Nobody in hisory has ever been called p4p number 1 with a trash resume like his.

And that's the key. #1 P4P when he hasn't really been tested.

Only Naseem Hamed comes close, prior to him fighting Kelley. And we saw what happened when he did fight Kelley.

Oh yes they very well have. And his claim to that p4p spot has declined considerably as his competition has. He got lots of that hype when he was becoming undisputed at 140. It has fallen off a lot since he moved up and his competition got worse.
