CANELO was NEVER interested in a 3rd GGG fight, GBP/DAZN/Matchroom caused the Problem

Chronological Timeline of FACTS because no real Canelo fan on the forum wanted a damn trilogy... lol

1.) Canelo beats GGG in the rematch in the style fans WANTED.

2.) Canelo is asked about a 3rd fight, he says ''hells to the nah.''

3.) DAZN makes an offer to Canelo, a huge deal.

4.) GGG is still in limbo for where to go, TR, PBC, DAZN.

5.) Canelo fights Fielding to then Jacobs, yet he is still asked about a Trilogy and Canelo continues to say, ''no es un reto para mi.'' means ''it's no longer a challenge for me.''

6.) GGG signs with Matchroom (March)

7.) Industry unveals gossip regarding GBP and DAZN (Matchroom) fiasco for what was ''presented'' or to be pushed, giving DAZN or supposedly ''Promising'' a Canelo GGG Trilogy.

8.) Canelo's team starts to put dots together and hire a legal team to investigate the deal that was done between GBP and DAZN. Canelo's team starts to insinuate a level of distrust that such business strategy was never discussed with them, and that GBP exploited a Canelo presence to promote GBP's own deal on DAZN. Reynoso sends a cryptic tweet about loyalty with fighters and trainers..

9.) Somehow the beef gets squashed. DAZN realizes Canelo is not at fault. Canelo legal advices that Canelo should demand extra stipend for strategies conspired behind his back. Canelo then tell the media the same thing, ''if I'm offered something substantial.''

10.) Canelo tries secure every possible type of matchup that benefits the DAZN umbrella under contract/ network.

11.) Matchroom plays with its power to fumble its fighters for a Canelo fight.

12.) GBP themselves get frustrated, they surface offerings to industry regarding even making fights vs Charlo or Plant. Proven again, Haymon is skurred holding the hands of his fighters. They refuse as well.

13.) Still no Canelo date. BJS fumbles more controversy after making headlines the week prior for some airplane prank. It's as if by design BJS was coached to get out of the fight, disrupting the GBP portfolio for 2020.

14.) Covid-19 hits the world. Still no fights. the expectancy is that BJS is off. DAZN is desperate to boost business for Q3. Assume Canelo agrees to any stipulation for a bonus. Rumors prior, GGG needed to fulfill a Canelo fight in his contract. Industry reported that's what was ''promised'' between GGG and DAZN to justify the $100mil.

    Covid-19 gone fooked everything up.

I seem to recall canelo saying something like “if the fans want it again, we can do it again” after the 2nd fight.

of course he said that! He said in the same dialogues ''BUT a substantial offering needs to be presented..it's a business.'' Other than that, he always shot it down. The last fight was in 2018. Dialogues evolve

and most of the hardcore fans that post on forums didnt/dont want the fight again...most agree its highly unlikely that golovkin can do any better...his last time out he got the fight he asked for and lost clearly....

golovkin fans like barking when the fight is not being made..about how canelo "knows he lost both fights and doesnt want a 3rd"...which is complete nonsense...once the fight gets signed theyll revert right back to "golovkin is old and has slowed and canelo waited him out nobody cares about this fight its pointless"....while golovkin fights pointless fights in between

they dont fight fights on paper....thats why the fight them in the ring...anything CAN happen....but most observers feel golovkin has little chance in a 3rd installment and i believe abel sanchez is being sincere when he says hes concerned

He avoided the 3rd fight. The first was a draw most thought the other guy won, the 2nd he sc****d by in a fight many thought the other guy won as well. The stage was set for a huge 3rd fight that everyone but canelo wanted. It begged for a trilogy...now the lustre has worn off.

Fight 1...champion retains title in disputed draw. Fight 2...challenger wins in razor close decision. Fight 3 was set to be the biggest fight in the sport. In what world does a fight like that not make sense? Canelo ruined it by stalling. Now, like you said, the interest has waned.

Sure, but we know Oscar and perhaps Hearn trolled DAZN executives about the trilogy to gain trusts for their own portfolios.

Remember that Canelo was already doing his thing in Dec. 18 with Fielding to then fighting Jacobs in May '19. Canelo and Jacobs were already training when Loeffler and GGG announced in March 2019 for their own DAZN deal.

GGG was never on Canelo's radar.

Canelo should just move on and consider any extra stipends from DAZN.

Nah. Boxing fans have already seen Canelo play his part and say his peace. It's not like a third fight has ''stalling'' like PBC vs Top Rank narratives or Wilder vs Joshua.

don't confuse ''clearly'' from boxing fans vs legends whom agreed with the decision.
