felix Trinidad had uncanny power. what were the rumours about loaded gloves?

His shots looked like they ****ing hurt man. Like they had people contemplating their careers when they were on the canvas.

He didn't have that Julian Jackson lights out side to side power but his precision was such that all the force went into guys heads and bodies.

    ****ing punishing.

Can someone Tell me more about the loaded gloves rumours?

It was his hand wraps. It was the same controversy Canelo Alvarez had with GGG a few years back. He was stacking his wraps before the Hopkins fight and got called out by Hopkins’ team. The NYSAC made Trinidad re-wrap.

Since then, a lot of Trinidad opponents have cried foul. The assumption is that he always stacked his hand wraps and was never called out until the Hopkins fight. To be fair to Trinidad, it is legal to stack wraps in certain places, including Nevada.

Every state has their own rules and regulations. How come no one made him re wrap before? Im sure Oscar was paying close attention. Plus has anyone met Trinidad before? The size of his hands and knuckles are ******ed. He is not just hitting you on the jaw. Your whole face is fxcked.

Hand wrapping controversy aside, Trinidad loaded up on his left hook more than you’ll see most fighters do.

Tito had natural power. Some states allow for tape directly on skin and other do not. It was a BS technicality in Vegas and nothing more.

Now can we talk bout Hopkin's 28 headbutts to Tito in that bout?

I agree, a cheater like the other Puto Rican Luis Resto. After Hopkins exposed him, he had subpar punching power and went into hiding like a scared hoe about to get pimp slapped.

                Just haters.

Nobody throws hooks the way Tito did. He threw his whole body into the hook looking to remove your head from the body.

Roy Jones Jr. pointed it out in his fight against Winky Wright. He said, look how much weight Tito puts on his front foot. He really settles down on the front foot to twist and torque the hook around hard. For a mover and smart fighter like Winky, he was able to just never let Tito really setup on that front foot to land the monster hooks.

Lastly, most people don't mention the speed he had. His hook speed was pretty quick. Nearly as fast as someone would throw a straight right. One of the hooks that dropped Vargas was lightning fast. You like saw Tito's arm twist, then Vargas was falling to the floor and it was like, wtf, when did it even land?

There is a video of BHop on fighthype talking about the Trinidad fight. He says that he def felt Trinidad's power even tho he didnt land clean punches on him. Then he says that his right hand was bruised and lumped up from catching Tito's left hook. The handwraps had nothing to do with his power. Trinidad had tape on skin which is not allowed by NYSAC.
