You can still fight without the audience, you have these boxers at the gyms fucking each other worse than at the actual fights.

I believe PBC fighters were receiving part of the gate on the so called "back end." They are self promoted without long term contract so I'm sure things are tough. On the other hand the PBC is tied to Fox and Fox to the president. Considering that both are demanding things go back to normal I would not be surprised if the PBC and Fox are the first to go back to large venues and big crowds but we'll see.

Stallone said he saw his first boxing fight after he actually made Rocky. He said his biggest mistake in the fight scenes was that he did not understand the crowd was such a big part of the fight.

Watch it with a living room full of people when you have money on it and you won’t even realize the place is empty. I had money saying Porkchop was going to get marked up on his last Shobox fight, which he was. Forgot about the audience completely.

Like it or not there will not be mass gatherings like people used to have for a long time to come.
Better prepare for the idea of fighting in a studio. Millions of fans all over the world would gladly watch it on tv or internet in the safety and comfort of their homes.
Of course, you still need an ample number of people to prepare fights in a studio, but at least it's more manageable in terms of testing, taking precautions, social distancing, etc.
