I just want to see what the people think. I believe that HBO puts sloppy one-sided fights on and charge you big bucks for a sorry fight while Showtime puts GREAT FIGHTS on for free. I mean Castillo-Corrales 1, the recent Marquez brothers fights, the Chavez -Randall fights... and many many more. Showtime fights put equally skilled fighters in the ring with eachother who have tremendous heart and let them go toe to toe in brutal fights and wars. I think thats what boxing is all about.
Whats the better Boxing Network? HBO or Showtime?

Showtime has the better fights, but maybe not for long now that Hatton is with HBO. I can't believe HBO didn't pick Corrales up after the first Casamayor-Corrales fight. Maybe Corrales chooses not to go back to them, I don't know, but he seems like a guy Lampley would love just like Hatton. -
But here's something to think about: the three best fights so far this year were put on by Showtime
1) Brewster-Liakhovich
2) Mormeck-Bell
3) Garcia-RiveraComment

It depends what you want to see. Competitive fights, or the top boxers? Most of the highest ranked fighters in each weight class usually are snagged by HBO's tower of money. The biggest fights, from a perspective of the biggest names, are found on HBO. Showtime, while sometimes having big names (like the upcoming Peter-Toney fight), usually focuses on simply showing evenly matched, competitive fights.
Do you want to watch the new guys fights, the names you've never heard of or don't know much about, or the top dogs? To see Mayweather, Klitschko, Pacquiao, Taylor, Wright, etc. you usually need to stick with HBO. They have more money to put together big events.Comment

I'd say HBO is be better.
But since I'm a real boxing fan I appreciate both. You've got to see fighters which you don't see on the other network so it's goooooood.

Showtime had a lot of good ****.. Hagler, Whitaker-Chavez, Benn-Eubank II, Benn-McClellan, Tyson-Holyfield, Tyson-Lewis, Castillo-Corrales, Hatton-Tszyu. And great upsets like Honeyghan-Curry and Barkley-Hearns, as well as great boxers like Jackson, Nelson, Norris, Nunn, McCallum, Hamed, Judah, Trinidad.Comment

I say Showtime. Even though they put on no-names, they have fights every damn week, which are most of the time pretty damn good. HBO fights happen what, every month or two or so. I'd say Showtime is the better for good fights. But HBO is better for the big name fights, even if they're not all that good.Comment
