  • Comments Thread For: Spence To Doubters: Keep Talking; I'm Gonna Prove Everybody Wrong!

Errol Spence Jr. realizes why fans and members of the media have questioned how he'll look when he fights for the first time since his car accident. Spence expected plenty of doubts based on the seriousness of the one-car accident in which he was injured October 10 in Dallas. The undefeated IBF and WBC welterweight champion doesn't consider any of the criticism he has faced unfair, yet he has used persistent skepticism as motivation to train harder than he had prepared prior to a scary crash that left cuts on his face, damage inside his mouth and a driving while intoxicated charge on his record.

I have a hard time picking anyone at 147 to beat him. The only real threat I see is Crawford, he is damn good as well.

If that car crash hasn't diminished him, then Spence is just too big with enough talent for the majority at 147. Thurman's big enough, but he's lost too much of himself to injuries. He's too smart to get countered by Danny G. Porter couldn't get close enough, often enough to get the job done.Too big and fresh for Manny. Brooke lost too much to the weight draining and would have the same issue again. Crawford isn't as big, but is one of the few with more talent, that is also maybe big enough for the job.

More big talk from another Haymon protected fraud.

Until Spence shuts up and fights Crawford and stops fighting hired Haymon PBC patsies who are all rigged to play soft for Spence, it's just lip service.

          Fight Crawford or shut up.

Boycott spence pbc until he fights Bud.

Crawford already exposed himself, bro. He's the reason the PBC fights haven't happened.

I still can’t believe it when I see that Spence is 30 years old already. By the time Ray Leonard was 31 he had already fought 4 Hall of Famers. My how times have changed.

Maybe he should sign with Bob Arum and go on that Top Rank protection plan. Hell, instead of guys like Thurman, Porter, Garcia, and Pacquiao as potential options, he can fight the mean machines, Jose Benavides, or washed up fighters like Amir Khan and Kell Brook.

Or even better, he could sign with Eddie Hearn for a one off, and get that big Jesse Vargas fight that we've all been waiting for lined up.

                Idiot.

I think Spence beats Danny Garcia by decision. Possibly beats Manny if he is next. And Spence wins a very close narrow decision against Crawford just because he is a volume puncher, good chin, and will be very determined to prove people wrong. I believe heading into that fight, Bud will be over confident, especially if he beats someone like Thurman and/or Porter. I’m very curious how Bud will hold up to the body attack and pressure from Spence over 12 rounds.

Only due to the fact fighters don't fight as often anymore (because they don't have to) so it may be difficult to decide who's a hall of famer nowadays...

I personally say Mikey and Porter are hall of famers, or will be, when their careers are done...

He was looking at coming back in January, but the car accident as well as this virus have almost taken a year away from him. So even if he returns this year and fights Danny, and waits until next year for Pacquiao and Crawford, at age 31, he would have fought 4 hall of famers.....same as ray Leonard.
