Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis, Ray Mercer, George Foreman, Larry Holmes, Michael Moorer, Michael Dokes, Tim Witherspoon, Oliver McCall, Ike Ibeabuchi, etc would all beat any of the current heavyweight champions and contenders right now. This is still a very weak era of heavyweights. The champions for a day of the early 80s would beat these guys today.

Pretty sure Tyson himself said on one of his recent podcasts that if Cus D’Amato were still alive he’d likely encourage Mike to still fight, that aging fighters can still compete, etc. If only Cus hadn’t of died so early into Mike’s pro career. You can tell to this day the man still inspires him.
