Comments Thread For: Casimero: Goal Is To Fight Inoue, We Are Still Monster Hunting

John Riel Casimero doesn't yet know when he will be able to return home. As confident as he is of soon making it back to the Philippines, though, he is just as certain of whom he will next face. The three-division and reigning bantamweight titlist has been stuck in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he was due to face Japan's Naoya Inoue (19-0, 16KOs) in a highly anticipated unification bout. Their clash was scheduled to take place on April 25 live on ESPN from Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, which was still in play when Casimero arrived in town for the balance of his training camp in mid-March.

They can dance in Japan. Businesses are open there.
On that note, well done Japanese on controlling the Covid 19 virus

This historic lineal unification was initially schedule to take place next week ( April 25 )! The isolation for John Casimero is not the worse, its not having the assurance that his sacrifice will ever bear fruit.

I hope that the Governor of Nevada Steve Sisolak is a boxing fan, and we get the green-light April 30th, and get ready to rumble! Get ready Casimero! Godzilla is coming!

The outlook is not so good. Big sporting events will surely spread the disease fast, if Las Vegas opens up for business.

A medicine better be found fast. The virus may not be able to be cured, just like the common cold, but it would be good if there was some medicine to stop it from going into full blown pneumonia.

Casimero would welcome that. He is a road warrior. But apparently, Japan is experiencing the 2nd wave of the COVID19 virus.
