Devin needs to find his own identity. He tries to be like floyd, and now he tries quote bernard hopkins. He seems to be lost on what he wants to be. Bringing up race is dumb when he could have easily said that he could whoop on loma. He is trying to be an attention whore by gaining cheap heat, very poorly executed on top of it with no originality.

I remember the last time I heard the "I'll never let a white boy beat me" comment. Haney showing his true colors. People like him never wanted equality, just vindication from a generation they never belonged to.

well I always remember when Bernard Hopkins said that, First before the Calzaghe fight. He lost a split decision, in Vegas with American judges. Then he lost every round to Sergie Kovalev, and finally was knocked out of the ring and stopped by by Joe Smith. Yes he was old, but that is what sometimes happens. In heavyweight champions history, the only ones never to lose to a white fighter were Liston, Ali, Franzer, Michael Spinks, Moorer and Lewis.

Haney has not yet defeated a whose who of fighters. he is only 21, and I would excuse his arrogance and silliness due to his age. Hopefully he won't go the Broner way. He has never been tested, and when he is that will really show who he is.

With those comments he has definitely raised the bar as far as putting pressure on himself. Now he's really going to be a target as it ups the ante, and puts a bounty on him. From White fighters especially.

Initially I disagreed with Haney. But if it's gonna make fragile whites like yourself go from fragile to completely cracked, I may have to hope for more comments like these in the future. At least it forces u to deal with how shallow and vulnerable u truly are.
