Saunders was offered £1.5 mil according the UK press from his interview with Kugan Cassius ... I'm not sure the currency was ever actually confirmed but it's not an unreasonable assumption that he was talking in sterling given the interviewer and the channel. About $2.2 mil in that case and about twice what any other non-PPV opponent had been offered (Murray is thought to have got $1.1 mil..ish I think).

And Mora? I've seen Sergio mentioned before and I think he might have indicated willingness to fight Golovkin, although if I recall right he was fighting under SHO at the time... but regardless. Why Mora? Honestly it's like I've seen it said he's avoided every single dude who ever mentioned his name - and a few who didn't.

As you say the main real miss for me is Andrade but that's just recently, and I also happen to think he shoulda told Canelo to kick rocks in '17 and fought Saunders in K'Stan and fought Dervyanchenko in 18 and pushed Canelo back, but I ain't gonna blame a man for making the most money he can.

i think he meant american dollars and based on the hbo purses at that time it would make sense. lemiuex made 1.5 to ggg's 2 mill but that was ppv and wade 500k to ggg's 2 mill on normal hbo and the saunders fight would have been on normal hbo so im not sure why people pretend like ggg/hbo had millions of dollars to throw around. they were very generous with their purses. for example ward made more than twice as much than dawson when they fought and dawson was more of a name than saunders or jacobs at that time. ggg would have made 55-60 percent to their 40-45 percent? lowball? duck? please.

Could have had the Ward fight. Could have had the Froch fight. Unfortunately, where stiff challenges are concerned, the Lower Case "g" ain't about that life..

Yeah man I just stopped caring a long time ago about what people said about GGG, or just what they said about boxing in general...people don't really like to keep it real on here...oh well.

The Brook fight would be excusable if it weren't for the fact that Bumlovkin's resume is utter trash. Hell, an argument can be made that Brook was his most skilled opponent prior to the Jacobs fight. Not a good look for a middleweight to have a welter as his best opponent.

                No question.

What's shameful is that Bumlovkin probably has a better chance of getting into the HoF than Salido does..

                  I agree. Let me try...

                  Salidnelo.
                  Bosslido.
                  Cashlido.
                  Kinglido.

                  Was that good?

I know....And the ref robbed ggg of an easy KO letting Canelo run and not fight “MexiCAN Style”
