Either way, he's going to have to do something different to get Crawford out of there. He's better than Garcia, hands down. He'd stop Garcia probably in the mid rounds. As for Porter, he'd get in a dog fight but I think Crawford could manage that too.

So it's not a good bar to use. Spence, and I am a fan, look at my signature, it's been there since he was in the Olympics... Spence will have to fight Crawford different than his past 3 or so fights. Plain and simple.
Who would stop Garcia in the mid rounds? Crawford? Doubt it. Garcia showed against Vargas and Spence he has a good chin and he's too skilled to get stopped if he makes his mind up on just surviving.

He has won going up and impressively so but he's not fought men on even Porter's level. Mikey would be undefeated in Crawford's resume as well. So it's not how you make it seem.

He fought a "speedster". You mean Khan... he's a gate keeper with no durability.

He fought "tons of heart". You mean Jeff Horn... he was the weakest belt holder regardless of beating Pacquiao.

He fought "long range guys". You mean Indongo... who was paper champ and a clear B level fighter with a bunch of african farmers padding his resume.

Even if you say I am wrong about those guys, Crawford's resume is weak outside of Postol who legit stopped Matthyse.
Lol, I really doubt Mikey goes undefeated. He can easily lose to Gamboa, Mikey without Ariza isn’t the same fighter, and I’ve seen him outboxed by Barros, if he doesn’t KO Gamboa, he can easily lose and ofcourse Gamboa has the power to hurt him too. Horn, Benavidez and Kavaliauskas can all easily beat him, matter of fact, I would heavily favor Horn to handily beat Mikey Garcia on his first fight to 147, and Benavidez is big, skilled and tall enough to be able to win too.

His best speedster is undefeated gold medalist Gamboa.

The big durable, pressure guy is Horn who beat Pacquiao (who just beat the sht out of Thurman Incase you hadn’t noticed).

Best Rangy guy is 6’0 highly touted prospect Benavidez.

The best big durable/heart/come forward guy Spence has fought is Van Heerden, who to put it politely, is not good, and has near Malignaggi power. Spence has never fought a speedster (fastest guy’s he’s fought is Porter), has never fought a guy much longer than him, has never fought a puncher and been hit by said puncher. He’s never fought a southpaw better than 42 year old arm punching Bundu.

What the hell can you take away from such limited guys that barely have any counter-punching ability, any power, any speed, any footwork, any defence? Not much.

Outside of that level Spence has Brook from 160lb’s (how many fighters win fights coming off surgery and 13lb’s within a year I wonder), Peterson on his way out with 1 fight in 3 years (inactive 1 year before Spence), Mikey Garcia coming from 135lb’s (And showing up bloated, showing Conte doesn’t know what he’s doing) and Porter.

Spence wishes instead of plain actual bums he had guys like Felix Diaz, Indongo, Kavaliauskas, Benavidez etc. As lesser wins.

You assume Porter and Brook are much higher level, but They haven’t fought. We’re not talking about the bums littered in Spence’s resume. Horn could easily run a draw or upset against either of these guys. Benavidez and Kavaliauskas fall short against Porter because of stamina but could beat Brook. I would pick Benavidez to beat Danny Garcia handily.

Obviously a guy deserves more credit the more accomplished an opponent is, but we’re talking skills/habits, more precisely the Crawford vs Spence matchup.

For Crawford you can look up Crawford V Lundy for a decently athletic southpaw opponent(he turns southpaw later in the fight), Lundy’s got good IQ, head movement, pivoting, countering. Crawford V Diaz(Gold medalist) to see how Crawford fights a southpaw pressuring him, see Crawford’s counter’s, his boxing, the throwaway shots on the high guard to find an opening, and what he does when they get inside. With Crawford V Indongo(Champ), Indongo does something similar to what Spence did a bit more earlier in his career which is bounce and use a laser 1-2. Most of the guy’s Spence has fought have no real footwork (or defense) to counter this, even Brook for example is a flatfooted fighter who rarely takes a step back when attacked, his main defense is smother and clinch. Crawford countered Indongo’s quick movement with his own quick feet to maintain range to make him fall short and later on he switches it up by getting inside instead.

With Spence you got much less to work with. You gotta start scraping the bottom of the barrel and utilizing much lesser opposition. Example, Van Heerden is closest to Crawford in terms of being southpaw and dimensions. Problem is, Van Heerden has no defense, no footwork, no sharpness. Far too low level. Crawford all around has more info available on him, has fought many more different opponents and more consistently better opposition.

Honestly, if you can’t deduce a guess as to how Crawford V Spence will go, Crawford V Porter is not going to help you in the slightest, because Porter fights nothing like Spence. Crawford could lose to Porter and still mollywhop Spence.

Spence claims he will DEFINITELY stop Crawford.

But Spence has DEFINITELY not shown any interest in even wanting to fight. Wrong side of the street, not a priority, Crawfords at the back of the queue.

          He has.

He's already said it to the public and Crawford backstage.

He told Crafword "Why wouldn't I go for the weaker belts first?"

Crawford paused and then smiled and said "you're a smart guy but not that smart."

He even told the public, "I want Pacquiao next."

The only other belt holder is Crawford.

Spence is belt collecting pre-Crawford. It'll give him the most leverage. Seeing how Crawford still isn't building himself into a draw; instead fighting nobodies.

If we do get to see a Spence-Crawford fight. Spence is going to wind up being the "A-side" as people like to say. He's doing all the right things, Crawford isn't.

We'll see just how badly Crawford wants to fight when he's not getting even 50-50. Because it'll come down to Crawford forcing Arum to deal but if he's not getting 50-50, we'll see how badly he actually wants to deal.

I don't know about that, I like Spence and all, but Crawford is a thinker in the ring and can make adjustments, I would have to see him go against the likes of Porter or Garcia and see how he's fares with them before saying that Spence could KO him.
