Me and 8 friends got into very heated argument last night about Floyd and Pac. HELP!!

Me and 8 other friends were just chilling on the porch last night smoking weed and drinking 40s. Just basically killing time since everything has been shut down.

I brought up the question of who ranks higher on the all-time pound-for-pound atg list and it was pretty much split Right Down the Line.. half said Mayweather and the other half said Pacquiao.

It started off as a good conversation in debating, but somewhere down the line it became extremely heated to the point where there was yelling and I honestly thought that a fight was about to break out. That's how high some of the emotions were.

I however have Mayweather higher on the pound-for-pound atg list because after all he beat Pacquiao, destroyed Marquez in only one fight where Pacquiao struggled against him and retired undefeated. However a few of them did not see it that way.

So who in your opinion ranks higher on the pound-for-pound atg list?
    46
    Floyd
    63.04%
    29
    Pacquiao
    36.96%

I'm giving it to Floyd for the same reasons even though Pac still has that fountain of youth going for him and can change the stars so to speak. If Pac continues to beat the young champions of today then he has the chance at passing Floyd up as an ATG

Pac is just way higher than floyd and most boxing legends think the same way.
      barrera
      morales
      jmm
      dela hoya
      kellerman(floyd nuthugger)
      Garcia's
      etc...

all of them think that pac is the no. 1 lb4lb of all time..

Hope you got a real big porch, man.

        What is social distancing?

Social distancing, also called “physical distancing,” means keeping space between yourself and other people outside of your home. To practice social or physical distancing:

Stay at least 6 feet (2 meters) from other people

        Do not gather in groups
Take care brother... why take the risk?

Bro just follow social distancing rules...people dying. The last thing health care systems need are people coming in taking beds and ventilators because they are irresponsible

not sure if there is a pound-for-pound ATG list... just ATG list

ATG is set in stone... which fighter achieved more, period

pound-for-pound is more about mythical matchups between two particular fighters...

you could also strictly align your P4P criteria with resume, which essentially becomes ATG

            Mayweather... not even close

I cannot believe people debate this

            ATG criteria is clear...

WHO did you beat... with consideration given to when/how

99% of ATG comparisons did not actually fight, these guys did

            you bet that counts

            1) Mayweather's resume (which includes Pacquiao)
            2) no losses... you bet that counts in a strict head-to-head matchup

walked through stronger competition... and no losses, especially bad KO losses

Not only is chilling with 8 people on a porch probably illegal as is smoking weed (depending on your state), but why come snitch on yourself after doing 2 illegal acts? That's just not smart man.

As for the thread topic, Mayweather is better head to head. Pac hasn't finished his career yet, but I created a thread the other day about "risks" taken over the course of fighters career. And Pac has me really thinking about who's greater between he and Floyd.

Being better head to head is different than being greater.

Pac definitely took more risks over the course of his career. He's even fought and beat more top 5 opponents than Mayweather. Does that make him greater? I'm not sure yet
