Is Loma held to a higher standard?

In his second professional fight, Lomachenko lost to a multi-time boxing champion Orlando Salido.

Since then, Lomachenko has become a three division champion, is on the verge of becoming undisputed lightweight champion and has defeated multiple p4p type fighters.

But whenever someone wants to discredit his p4p status, Salido is brought up.

Yet, I don’t ever see people bring up Canelo Alvarez’s draw to Jorge Juarez as a knock on his p4p credentials. I also don’t ever see people bring up Juan Francisco Estrada’s loss to Juan Carlos Sanchez. I also see Manny Pacquiao being ranked in the top 10 p4p by most, if not all, respected boxing publications. It was pretty much yesterday when he lost to Jeff Horn. Why is he forgiven for that loss is Lomachenko doesn’t get a pass for his loss?

    Definitely.

There's even that Fruit Cake who refuses to accept Lomachenko is Robinson's superior.

The footage is indisputable: Lomachenko is the most skilled fighter we've ever seen.

I don't think lomachenko is held to a higher standard. I think he's way over blown if anything.......good little fighter but nothing monumental at all. Just decent little fighter. People have a taken a decent fighter and blown him up as if he is Duran.

His record is easier to look @ given his 15 fights & I lmao when people claim Crolla is a good name, Tank's leftovers in Pedraza went 12 against Chenko ffs & stop being salty @ Alvarez for beating your boyfriend Mosley hahaha

Look at it in a positive way, every fighter held to that hi of standard is asked to do more because ppl want to see them bite off a bit more than they can chew because they are considered of a different cloth skill wise. Lomachenko is taking his time to agree to terms with Lopez and ppl are getting a bit irritated with that and other things. But nevertheless he’s still an A level fighter hands down

I don't knock Lomachenko's loss to Salido but let's face it; Manny has accomplished so much more in his extensive pro career, despite his losses. And the Horn decision was BS.

He certainly is, and it's often the fans of a particular fighter who are guilty of it. Rigo got a lot of praise before Loma burst onto the scene. The same fools dismissing Loma's amateur accomplishments were using Rigo's amateur career as a yardstick for greatness. Now, they want to dismiss Loma's professional accomplishments. Sad.

Did you just give Loma **** for going 12 rounds against Pedrazza with one arm, then talk up Alvarez beating a 41 year old Shane Mosley? A Mosley that was inactive for twelve months? while at the same time calling out Loma's win over Walters as being bull**** because he was inactive for ten?

Fighting a 41 year old Shane Mosley at 154 where Shane's record was 4-3-1 (and one of those wins a gift)

great win. keep bringing it up.

Crawford gets clipped in his last fight and the sky is falling. Being held to a higher standard when you’re on top will always be a thing.
