well there you go.. i've not read anything official yet, but if this is true, Mayweather will continue to lose respect.. you find the weakest out of the bunch, and that's who Mayweather picks..

Shouldn't you only go up in weight after you've cleaned out the division you were in? I didn't know that Sharmba Mitcherll and Zab Judah were all that welterweight had to offer. Or at least go up to fight a superfight like Oscar? Cory Spinks? He's a solid boxer but that's gonna be a ****ty boring fight that Floyd should cruise to. I think 154 is a bad weight for Floyd as he will have trouble dealing with power up there, but of course Cory can't punch so its not a big problem. I won't be buying this fight. At least Margarito would have been an interesting style fight and he could have stayed at that weight for Mosley. Floyd doesn't even rehydrate to 154 so if he stayed there for long, he'd run into big trouble. I'd love to see him deal with a Roman Karmazin or an Ouma but he'd never fight those fights due to the cash

I should add that the horrid IBF ordered Zab-Floyd 2 so just because they ordered it doesn't make it so. THat said, with Margarito on Showtime and Baldomir looking at a Shane Mosley fight, this might be the only offer left on the table for PRetty Boy FLoyd

So this is still a rumor up to this point.

But I won't be suprised if it happens. That's another belt at another weight class at stake. And it's there for PBF to take.

Spinks is a difficult fight for Floyd. Spinks is difficult for anyone. He got trashed too much after losing to Judah.

Karmazin, who has good power, nearly knocked him out as he had Spinks on ***** street a few times. Couple that with the KO against Judah and him hitting the deck in the 12th of their first fight and you have issues with his chin. He did stay on his feet against Mayorga so I would say that his chin is neither an asset or a major weakness. I just think this will be a boring fight as you have two stick and movers and unless Floyd commits to trying to knock him out, its just going to be a bore. If you want to beat Floyd you better have really good power for a knockout or you better be a great body puncher to slow him down at that heavy weight but Spinks doesn't seem to rip the body in the fights I've seen him in
