    Fighters who became good trainers

    there were some great ones, awful ones, and everything in between. Who were the best? Why were they successful?

    Buddy McGirt extended the lives of a few fighter who people thought were washed up.
    In general though, great fighters usually don't make great trainers.
    I know Freddy roach used to fight. I think that's how he got Parkinson's disease. But he's another guy, he's your basic trainer. ...you never see him.build guys from the ground up. He usually picks up established fighters and works with them from the mod point of their careers, or towards the end.
    John David jackson was pretty good, but he should have expanded his stable beyond the Woman Puncher, Sergey Kovalev.
    And of course David Banks. This young brother is the future of trainers
