It’s like when Thurman crashed Pauliies Pist Fight wanting a fight. Paulies has fought a who’s who of Legit Big names so while if he’d have fought Thurman at the time he’s not going to let Thurman jump the line who didn’t have a name at all and let the Unknown Young Gun take his scalp and strap just to do Thurman a solid for his career.

Established Guys with a Good team always make the next Unbeatable Killer of Moment who just starting to generate buzz pay their dues start looking human , prove their worth by not letting the Carnival called Boxing get them frustrated with all its Bullsh.it and start losing some of the Hunger and focus they had when they were the Carnivals flavour of the Month with The fans / Media , let them build their name pay their dues before the Fight because that’s almost always what they had to go through.

But Thurman should be chomping at the bit for Spence who has 2 straps ( 1 of those which belonged to Rhurman who didn’t lose it in the Ring ) has had 2 Decent PPVs back to back / Looked Human against Porter and there’s still the unknown how he recovers mentally / Physically from flying out a f.ucking car and somehow avoiding Death or at least a Career ending Injury.

This is the time to Target Spence ( Sh.it if he won he might even get a Pac rematch ) & Buds Legit P4P but I doubt Thurman a Natural WW who has shown he’ll fight anybody is nt going to feel Confident that he can’t beat a guy who started at 135 and probably maxes out at WW
Sorry, whilst you make some good relevant points, they don't represent where Thurman is nowadays. He was definitely stalling on fighting Spence, hoping for the Pacquiao shot; which he got, and lost. Thurman will need to earn another title shot by beating someone like an Urgas, or whichever high ranking fighter is available, not just talk about what he used to be and hope he gets one off the back of past glory.

You'll notice another thread he's talking about Spence and Crawford so maybe that shut up the early responders mentioning those names in this thread.

Regardless I thinkThurman should get a good warm up fight before he back gets in with a top 5-10 guy. I'd be impressed if he came back jumping at Crawford, Spence, Pacquiao, Porter, or Garcia.
Yes, champ4eva's post is both logical and reasonable, as is your own. Its just a case of how different people perceive Thurman.
The problem for him is, irrespective of why or how close it was, he lost to Pacquiao who probably only has a few fights left before retirement. Thurman probably isn't going to get a rematch but no harm in hoping for it!
He's only 31 so, whilst my own perceptions where that he's looking for retirement $$, it seems kinda young for that. His available options at the present time are extremely limited as he appears unwilling to actually "earn" that title fight.

The bout was Thurman's second of what was originally slated as a comeback year after having been out of the ring since unseating then-unbeaten Danny Garcia in their March 2017 title unification clash.

You lot against 10 years older fighter. No rematch is needed.

Pacquiao has 2, maybe 3 matches left. I think Danny, Mikey, Spence are options.

Midget Man, dinosaur arms, bunny hopper...whatever else he called Pac. Now he feels he deserves the rematch? Ship has sailed big guy. The old man took everything you had and still beat you. Heard Rod Salka needs an opponent. 😂😂

He's pathetic for wanting the rematch with a legend that handed him his only loss. PATHETIC! The best way avenge the loss is by fighting somebody else! #NSBTARDLOGIC

Some don't give Pac credit for beating thurman, saying thurman looked bad against last opponent and his lay off. So see no reason why Pac would give rematch.
Best thing is thurman to fight and beat crawford. Pac still wouldn't need to fight thurman. He can live off of that thurman win, if thurman beats crawford
