Screw up or not, I think Bowe would've won. He was severely weight drained in the first fight and had brain damage by the second one. Golota had skill, but Bowe was better. Though I cant believe Bowe openly and flat out REFUSED to fight Lennox.

Bowe was at his career heaviest for the first figth, so I'd say he undertrained and underestimated Golota....and in the second fight he was 235, so I think he'd overtrained for that one.....but, Futch had left him because he said Bowe was shot.

Oh. I didnt see the first fight, and havent seen the second one in a while. Got em mixed up. Either way, Bowe was not at 100% when Golota fought him.

Bowe was much better than Golota, much better. He was weakened from losing the weight so quickly in the first fight, and paid for it by getting outboxed early on. Later in the fight he hung on and fought back, causing Golota to panic and throw those low blows. Golota thought he was on his way to losing the fight.

The Bowe that beat Holyfield in the first fight would have served Golota's head to him on a platter. Golota had some fine skills for a big man, but lacked heart in a big way.
