It's a duck. He was fine with fighting Mexicans his whole career, and the SECOND his team discusses going up to 168 (before Fielding was even mentioned) the camp suddenly throws out "Canelo will not fight any more mexicans!"

Which I'm sure had nothing to do with Benavidez and Zurdo being champs at 168. There was no problem fighting a Francisco Villanueva who was 5-17-2, but it's a problem fighting David Benavidez who is 22-0, Younger, and Bigger. Cause lets be real...Asking for a hydration clause after you just fought at 175 would be a joke.

I wouldn’t say anything in fact I and others know for a fact that some black boxers are already practicing this. I think it’s ok because for 1: blk vs blk dosnt always sell. 2: I fully understand anyone trying to preserve the integrity of their culture.
