  • Comments Thread For: Derrick Jefferson Transferred Out Of ICU, Continues To Recover From COVID-19

As he'd done so often during his thrilling career, Derrick Jefferson has picked himself off the canvas and is ready to continue. The now-retired former heavyweight title challenger continues to show significant signs of improvement after being diagnosed with coronavirus disease (COVID). Jefferson was admitted into the intensive care unit (ICU) at Royal Oak (Michigan) Beaumont Hospital on March 22, at which point he was placed under a medically induced coma and required to breathe through a ventilator.

Jesus Christ he's only 52, must have had some serious health issues beforehand. No way it got that bad if he were healthy before he got corona.

That's a serious problem for anyone, period, yet the story that will be propagated will be something like "reigning, unified HW champ of the world struck down by COVID-19, almost dies in the ICU...

He’s actually right. There have been nurses and doctors passing who were younger and completely healthy. Some peoples bodies are good at fighting off bacteria and virus others are not.
The problem with this man is he has no fictional kidneys which means his body isn’t good at filtering out toxins from his blood. Kidney failure is commonly associated with high blood pressure and also unregulated diabetes. High blood pressure is a common problem with black Americans of west African extraction tracing their roots to the middle passage due to the fact that the only people who could survive the horrendous conditions were those whos bodies could hold on to water better than others. If you didn’t, you dehydrated and died a slow agonising death.
