The way I see it there is 2 ways of looking at this Wilder business. Wilder lost to the divisions number 1 and only the divisions number 1 so he should be number 2.

But then wilder got totally demolished in a complete one sided beating by the divisions number 1. Even that Peter Wallin put up a way better fight than Wilder did so maybe Wallin should be number 2 or maybe Wallin should be at 16 and Wilder at 17.

Its not just who you lose to but also how you lose to them. And Wilder looked totally clueless, no Boxing brain or talent on show agaisnt Fury, couldnt win a round. I've seen BUMS take rounds off Fury.

There is having an off night and there is avenging. Anthony Joshua avenged his loss to Ruiz in a very 1 sided rematch and now holds all but 1 of the Heavyweight world titles.

Wilder didn't avenge his loss, sorry, draw, to Fury. In the rematch he got taken to school and smashed senseless. Wilder has ZERO world titles.

By rights we could put Wilder behind Wallin but it's only fair to put him behind Joshua. But if we can keep it somewhat real right now. The way I see it, Boxing is a funny sport. I think Joshua can cause Fury more problems than Wilder could but in turn I think Wilder has more chance of beating Joshua. Styles make fights.

What I don't like about this is that just because Fury beat Wilder, then all the other top fighters can beat him too? I'd give Wilder a great shot against Joshua, I'd tip him to beat Whyte, Parker, etc, there's a lot of good younger ones coming through, but they can't be mentioned on this level yet. I'd love to see Ortiz vs Andy Ruiz as well.
