IBF champ says he's ready to take on Miranda's whole team
Things are heating up just three weeks before the huge IBF middleweight battle of unbeatens between champion Arthur Abraham and Edison Miranda on August 26th in front of 4,000+ at the EWE Arena in Oldenburg, Germany. Miranda, who has been training in Puerto Rico, and his manager Steve Benbasat have been trading barbs with the Abraham camp in recent weeks. Abraham has now responded to the latest poison arrows. "They can all climb into the ring one after another if they have problems," said the champion. "Miranda, his manager, his whole team -- they should not talk, but fight!"

The title defender and his trainer Ulli Wegner have moved to the Sportschule Kienbaum outside Berlin. Two hard weeks of sparring are in store for the "Smurf Boxer" before he leaves on August 20 for fightweek in Oldenburg. "In Kienbaum we have optimum conditions, no distractions, full concentration on the essentials," states Wegner. Also in camp are Arthur's brother Alexander, Cengiz Koc and Yoan Pablo Hernandez. In addition, ex-European middleweight champion Sebastian Sylvester (the second main fighter on the Oldenburg card) along with his coach Hartmut Schröder, and cruiser Marco Huck (who is preparing for his first title fight in September) are holed up at the spartan former GDR-sports school.
