Comments Thread For: Top Rank Prez: No Indication Wilder Would Step Aside For Fury-Joshua

Top Rank President Todd DuBoef, who co-promotes WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, has not been given any indication that Deontay Wilder would be willing to take a step-aside deal to allow a full division unification between Fury and IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO champion Anthony Joshua.

I don't expect him to step aside and why should he?

I personally want him to because I don't want to see another Fury/wilder fight and I want to see a chance for unification.

From Wilders end, he's nothing and yet holds the cards to the boxing world. I'd be surprised he gives up a chance to take the belts back regardless of what pay off is/could be on offer..

He could well negotiate a step aside payment with the contract of fighting the winner and that gives him the best chance of owning all the belts because otherwise he's have to fight and beat both which is highly doubtful...

Top Rank negotiated that rematch clause in the first place, in case Fury lost.

Now they have to live with it.

This third fight will have another rematch clause as well. Too bad for Wilder!!! He will lose 100 times if they decide to fight that many times.

          Revealing news.

So, those talks of Kubrat Pulev and Deontay Wilder rumors of step aside fee are buried. Let's get on.

I'm sorry British fans. He's not doing it. It's about honor, dignity and prestige. Wilder misses them. If he doesn't get this fight asap, then he would probably go into hiding and never show his face again. He needs his redemption because he knows the whole world is laughing at him.

In order for this to happen, Pulev and Usyk would have to step aside too.

I wonder in the trilogy fight if wilder walks to ring in his mother's nighty. Something light and comfy so not to drain his energy.....,..

I can't blame Wilder for not stepping aside. I'm sure Fury and AJ could offer him good step aside money AND 1st offer to fight the winner which means Wilder would get paid twice and then get to fight for all the belts instead of just the WBC. But we all know Wilder is sheet scared of Joshua and has ducked him big time so it's only any good if Fury wins. Wilder wouldn't face Joshua.

The Wilder blueprint is out for all to see...he won't beat a legit HW contender again...he'll compete with cab drivers and fighters receiving social security...
