Are my friends right when they say an average dude can beat M Tyson in a street fight

The guy who broke into his house was probably on meth.
Hence, why he’s breaking into a UFC fighters house at 4 AM.Comment

I have heard similar things as well from friends (some in wrestling/bjj) also who have either never fought or had a handful of fights against people that had no hands what so ever. I am not big by any means and it wasn't until after I put the gloves on with some of them that they understood the difference in power when you know how to punch but more importantly the speed difference and timing. It is natural once you have done it for so long.
I boxed for a long time and even I am not delusional to think I would stand a chance against a heavyweight champ for more than a minute if they decided to press the action and go for broke. Blocking ain't going to work against someone trained in those weightclasses unless you are just as close in size.Comment

That's the thing, it's a street fight so you are not gonna have time to think like that for the most part. This is why I said it's possible and very likely for pro fighters to lose in a street fight against regular folks.Comment

It’s possible, but it’s not very likely. Not likely at all actually.
That wasn’t a street fight that the ufc fighter partook in.
That was an intruder breaking into your home at 4 AM while your asleep, while more than likely on a ton of meth.Comment

So me and some friends were chilling on the porch last night and smoking some weed when a question came up about a prime Mike Tyson losing to an average Joe off the street in a street fight. Some of them said that an average Joe could beat a prime Tyson off the street.
We are talking about just fists and no weapons of any kind.
They are saying if the average dude gets pushed hard enough then the adrenaline will kick in and Tyson could lose. Anyone want to chime in?Comment
