Yeah but I think he is getting more powerful as you can see from this video, before he wasn't really sitting on his shots.

His weakness is his stamina, in the Taylor fight for some odd reason he couldn't pull the trigger. I dont know if he overtrained for that fight.

He better not do what he's doing for his right hook in a fight. Telegraphing the hell out of it when he shifts his weight real quick. I know he's working on things but that might form a bad habit.

lol, he is working on mechanics to train power he won't be doing that in a fight.

Its basic power punch drills to work on power and form

I know but it just looks awkward. He turns his right shoulder in, then back and then throws the hook. It doesn't look fluid.

I think he is actually a shot fighter. When he fought Taylor he looked like a guy who couldn;t pull the trigger, some fighters age worse than others and Regis seems to have peaked a while back.

Other guys can keep going into their 30s, I hope its just a stamina or overtraining issue, but he couldn't let his hands go in the Taylor fight.

He posed and acted like he had a 1 punch power punch that entire night and I honestly think till that night he honestly thought he did have 1 punch power which is clear he doesn't. I also believe reason he looked like he peak already from his showing in previous fight if for that particular reason aswell he fell in love with his medicore power, hes showing with decent pop but not 1 punch pop, he better off letting them hands fly more often than not.
It was a weird fight, he just kept walking down Taylor not throwing anything away he was using the cross guard a few times.

The guy needs to fight more like Aaron Pryor, he doesnt have one punch power he should throw combos, when you throw that one punch top level boxers will read it and avoid it and be cautious.

Regis better let them hands fly like you said, if he still tries that weird walk down and wait **** he is going to lose.

I think he should go to the body more too, he seems to have thudding power which is great for body punch kos

Whut? Nah, or at least I wouldn't take that from the Taylor fight. It's just Josh really is good (although I thought Regis outskilled him) and more importantly is just one of those guys who's all dog. More than anything I think Regis was just a bit taken aback by the fact that Josh just wouldn't give him an inch even when he was doing the better work. real difficult to beat a guy who just won't take a step back physically or mentally.

FWIW Regis has made a huge fan of me over the last coupla years, with his skills, sure, but more just by coming across a real cool, likeable dude. I'm a fan of Mo Hooker too FWIW so that one's gonna be bittersweet if / when it happens but I got Regis by TKO unless Mo goes into full on survival mode, which is unlikely - kid's got a fighters' temperment and gets dragged into tear ups when he should just be using his legs and working the jab.

It was the weirdest strategy it almost look like he got paid off to let Taylor look good.

I think Jose Ramirez is the best at 140.
