Ponce De Leon only headlined a PPV cause Juan Manuel Marquez’s opponent couldn’t get a visa so the fight was postponed at the 11th hour. You can’t use that to try and justify the likes of Ryan Garcia vs Jorge Linares being a PPV worthy fight.

Wasn’t Barrera coming off the back of the 3rd Morales fight when he fought that Fana, his stock would’ve been super high at the time, not that I agree that should have been PPV by any stretch.

I agree the likes of Barrera-Fana and De Leon vs whoever were BS PPV’s but two wrongs don’t make a right.

As for Ruiz-Golota that was a far bigger card than the one you have proposed in terms of star power. That had two world HW title fights, a modern great in Holyfield and then former champions such as Rahman and McCall all on the card.

For me we need to limit PPV’s to the high quality fights otherwise we’re just lowering the standards to the point that anything half-decent is now behind a paywall. It’s like that in the UK at the moment tbh with the likes of Dillian Whyte, Dereck Chisora or even some YouTuber weirdo headlining a PPV.

You make some very good points. I was looking forward to that ruiz-golota PPV, but it was terrible to watch.

My opinion is fans would buy this if it were HBO PPV, it comes down to personal preference I guess.

Maybe I'm looking at this potential card as far as entertainment value.

      Garcia-linares is a 60/40 fight.

      Kovalev-barerra is 50/50.

      Teixeira-castano is 50/50.

Moonsri is a 54-0 champion, american fans will surely want to see him fight.

      Alvarado-guiterrez will be a shootout.

And oh, dont forget Rahman-barrett was PPV and did 120,000 buys I believe, LOL.

It’s a good card man, I’d definitely watch it I’m just not a fan of PPV’s if it’s not elite fighters or huge names. We should expect promoters to produce quality undercards whether they are PPV or not IMO.

Agreed. As for DAZN, if this were the card that was put together, I think it's safe to say this one rivals the garcia-vargas card or Estrada-rungsivai 2, maybe even tops it.

I'm not a fan of most PPVs, but if the card is loaded, I have no problem paying for any PPV. I'm spoiled though, so money really isn't the issue. I'm more concerned with other boxing fans pockets, as I want all SPORTS fans to watch fights.
