Chico announced he was moving up to lightweit but got caught up in domestic violence and sentenced to the big house.

Arum smelled blood in the waters to offer an emergency purse to tide his wife and kids over, the only reason that fight was made.

Chico dead on the scales at 130.

It's hard to pick a time for Floyd because at different times , he showed different things. I think his prime was from corrales to Mosley ish but just my opinion

To each his own on what fights are you favourite, but these are the types of opponents you’ve been very critical of other fighters over.
        Boom.

Probably was. He was dominated, hard to watch. I was a big fan of Chico. I was lucky enough to get 12 row seats off a scalper for a 100 bucks to see the Castillo fight. I will never forget that night. I saw him in the lobby the night before and was shocked how emaciated he looked at lightweight. He was tall.

not sure why people pick the gatti fight

leading into the fight floyd called gatti a C class fighter

            and it showed.

i was more impressed by his fight vs jesus chavez, chico, and castillo
recently rewatched floyd vs corely. that was impressive and entertaining 12 round fight. floyd came forward and showed great creativity in his attack. corely gave a great effort too

What they did was put poor Henry (bruseles) in there instead of Miguel cotto in there. Floyd put in a Picasso like performance, the hungriest fighter in the game after that night.

The thing with the Gatti fight that people forget is that Floyd had a pending case that he had to basically take the plea for in order to keep the ppv date. Gatti and his team weren't willing to wait for him to fight it etc and it pissed him off because he felt he was forced to admit to something he didn't do. Hence why he beat Gatti the way he did. That was one time he legitimately fought upset.

                    Corrales, Hatton, Gatti, Mosley, Canelo

                    Those are Floyd's best performances
