Always bet on the gorilla, and any powerful wild animal.

That title made it seem Mike would pay the zoo keeper for him, the zookeeper, to fight the gorilla.

I guess Tyson would never have ever lost in the ring had this match come off. And Holyfield would still have hes ear.

As requested, I bumped the original thread on this.

A lot of educated, erudite answers on there by the all-knowing, never wrong boxing scene chorus of members.

That gorilla was way too young to challenge Mike then for the title.
            Would have been KOed.

And for the rest of its life would have lamented to the zookeeper: "I could have been a contender. I could have had class. Instead of being a.."

I honestly wonder how some of those big animals would react to a good right hand to the face from a human

BS. Mike knew the answer was NO.

Had the zookeeper agreed, Mike would never have climbed in with a Gorilla. He would have been ripped to shreds trying that cus D'amato sh it with a beast. It didn't work with Holyfield, it definitely would not have worked with a gorilla.

Silverback gorillas are no joke. Same with chimps. Humans don't want that smoke.
