I think what wilder realised from first fight is that fury was a better boxer. And although he knew he could down fury, he knew he would have to take a beating before downing fury.
So wilder knew he must try be brave but of course wilder would be nervous going into any fight with fury as he knows he's got to take a lot of slaps before hopefully finding furyLast edited by hugh grant; 04-02-2020, 04:24 PM.Comment

Wilder is not the smartest person. I think before Fury-Wilder 1, he (and his trainers, friends, followers) had made himself out to be some mythical superhuman creature with the power of 10. He had started to believe in his own hype (as evidenced by Wilder's comments regarding Mike Tyson etc) - that was not "selling the fight" - he actually believed what he said.
When Fury came back from those knockdowns in the first fight - especially the second KD - with guns blazing, that shattered Wilder's perception of himself. And obviously the TKO in the second fight only added to that (although I actually think the first fight - i.e., the loss of confidence in his own KO power - was psychologically worse for Wilder than the TKO).
I wish Wilder well - that includes, first and foremost, a realistic trainer, promoter, and fan base who acknowledge defeat in the last fight, instead of being delusional about it by looking for absurd excuses; who try to work on his obvious technical deficits, and think of a meaningful strategy. Otherwise the third fight will be a disaster.Comment

Wilder's corner inspected the gloves beforehand and he came over after to congratulate Wilder on a good fight. His team said nothing and had pressed no charges of cheating. But you, from your armchair, can see something that Wilder couldn't or the officials or anyone else? All gloves are inspected just before they get in the ring. There's no cheating, he just lost. Come on now.Comment

Because it’s funny lol you give them facts to dispute the deluded, desperate, dimwitted assumptions and they do one of two things; become aggressive or just run away and refuse to acknowledge the facts, pretending they didn’t actually read the reply, move on to another post and repeat the same shlt that just got shot down in the hopes they encounter somebody that doesn’t know what’s what so they can feel accomplished in life lolComment
