Charlo is a bum and Daddy Haymon won’t risk losing his only 160 champ. That belt is staying in house under the fighter protection program aka PBC.

I don’t really rate either of them at the moment, but at least Charlo looks convincing. Andrade looks terrible; lunging into his wild lead hooks like he’s throwing them at a static punch bag and almost falling over his feet every time he tries to pull off some crafty illusive movement.

Worst thing that could of happened was putting Charlo in with Korobov. He hasn't faced anybody good since that night and we all know why. Charlo and the PBC can pretend they guna take the big fights but they ain't. We know he's turned a few offers down but how many offers has he sent to any of the top guys? It's all bluff.
He will be matched as safely as can be without going too far and being labelled a cherry picking joke.

You are right however, why would he break ranks and fight on the deadzone for the same money García got for fighting a top 20 type guy
The whole boxing world is against black fighters...even though black fighters are some of the most successful and popular in modern boxing history (at least the last 50-60 years).

Charlo turned down $7,000,000.00 to fight Willie Monroe for less than 1.
In context:
Willie dropped out so Charlo picked Korobov, a guy dropping from 175 to super middle for his next opponent. When Korobov received the call he was given six days to dehydrate down to 160lbs.
Charlo was a 25 to 1 favorite in a noncompetitive fight.

Context is EVERYTHING!
Honestly, Showtime doesn't have a contract with Charlo promotions. That said, Showtime doesn't have the budget or obligation to stage a money losing fight.
Keep in mind, Showtime turned down Wilder for 8 million and Charlo is no Wilder. Logically speaking, the numbers simply don't work. Showtime or Fox could do a PPV but Charlo hasn't drawn more than 500k on free TV. Without guaranteed money the fight is a bust, a nonstarter...that's out.
What's left?
Please try to be serious and don't simply write some simple untrue nonsense. Try to think it through, be honest and intelligent because I'd like to hear your solution.

A little context goes a long way.
Actually Spence fought Mikey because Mikey was a name and the draw...Spence said so. Look it up.
Again, in context...Mikey vs Jessie Vargas was not the goal, Mikey vs Manny is. Step one, get Mikey, Step two, get Manny to opt out of the PBC....see how that works? Context is everything my friend.
BTW, Errol Spence was NEVER a draw and its looking more and more like he may never be one.
Originally posted by Cool Scant View PostHearns mistake was giving Mikey Garcia $7M to fight a fringe contender. WTF would Charlo take the same amount of money to for a unification and the opponent is much more dangerous than Jesse Vargas? and don’t use the excuse that Miley is more marketable than Charlo because Garcia didn’t move then needle until he fought Spence. And Spence proved he moves the needle without Garcia.
