This is a joke. Have loved(and hated) boxing for well over sixty years. At that I was too young to have seen him fight live. A wealthy friend invited me over to see a Robinson film archive he had acquired as he knew I had not seen him fight. This was 30 years ago, and a most eye opening education for me. Tell me today how many active fighters with 100 fights in their resumes. Robinson had 108 knockouts. It did not matter whether they were bums or world class, he would destroy anyone in his prime. When I watched real after reel of his fights, I was simply astounded. The man could box, punch, had a granite chin, and had amazing footwork. He was simultaneously the best at everything in the sport. The friend then showed a reel of his greatest hits, footage of a spectacular string of knockouts. His punching power was explosive. He would hit guys, and you would not only see their hair standing up, but their eyes would roll up in their heads indicating unconsciousness upon impact. Were he here with us today, he would have cleaned out a few divisions with total ease. He truly is the number one pound for pound. I remember Ali training where he would continually as Budini, does this look like Sugar? Does that look like Sugar? In reality Vargas may have lasted until the first time he got hit.

Did that wealthy friend lure you in with candy?
