Comments Thread For: Thurman: I Wanna Become Complete Monster Again, Dominate Welterweight Division

With the boxing business basically shut down temporarily, Keith Thurman won't rush to test out his surgically repaired left hand. The former WBA welterweight champion has been encouraged, however, with how it has healed since he had surgery September 4 in which Thurman's metacarpal bones were fused. Once he has full use of his left hand, Thurman expects to regain the form that made him an elite welterweight.

I’ll be honest, I figured his career was over after the Pacquiao fight. But I do hope he comes back. It makes the welterweight division even more exciting than it already is, if that is possible.

He might even be able to get a rematch with Pacquiao, if Pacquiao is that he is unable to fight Spence, Porter, or Terence.

It was obvious that the version of Thurman coming off the 2 yr break that faced Lopez and pac wasn't the same guy who fought porter and Danny Garcia. Obviously he was a different guy mentally and physically based on the inactivity and prior injury, but didn't realize he also was dealing with an active hand injury as well. He was a loss waiting to happen.

Sorry that train left the platform. You are over the hill and it can only be downhill from now on.

His heart left the game some time ago after he got married.

At least in losing he did a good showing against Pac and continued to try to win the fight.

Just preparing for his cash out
Fight a couple of tune ups , ( if that even comes about ) , or straight to a big fight and I think that’ll be the end of Keith

"Complete monster again" must have missed it the first time. Good fighter, was one of the best at Welter a while ago but I dont remember him really smashing through any of the top guys. He clearly won fights no doubt but but a lot of his fights against the top guys have been very competitive.
