The former WBA welterweight champion has been encouraged, however, with how it has healed since he had surgery September 4 in which Thurman's metacarpal bones were fused. I’ll be honest, I figured his career was over after the Pacquiao fight. But I do hope he comes back. It makes the welterweight division even more exciting than it already is, if that is possible.

He might even be able to get a rematch with Pacquiao, if Pacquiao is that he is unable to fight Spence, Porter, or Terence.

It was obvious that the version of Thurman coming off the 2 yr break that faced Lopez and pac wasn't the same guy who fought porter and Danny Garcia. Obviously he was a different guy mentally and physically based on the inactivity and prior injury, but didn't realize he also was dealing with an active hand injury as well. He was a loss waiting to happen.

"Complete monster again" must have missed it the first time. Good fighter, was one of the best at Welter a while ago but I dont remember him really smashing through any of the top guys. He clearly won fights no doubt but but a lot of his fights against the top guys have been very competitive.
