He would be Antonio Margarito,Tyson fury,Bernard Hopkins,Juan Manuel Marquez all rolled into one lol.

That’s if he made it to stardom without getting banned from every major sanctioning body 1st for cheating lmao.

Reyes, who isn’t a boxer by any means, outboxed Jones pretty clearly for three rounds. Don’t think he understands or respects the craft at an elite level. He is physically capable of fighting or playing in every sport though, assuming he keeps it together mentally. He might have been able to as well, cuz as strange as it sounds, I think all the boxers outcrazying him would have taught him how not to behave.

He is 6'4" fighting at 205lbs UFC lightheavyweight division. If he trained in boxing, he may have some chance at cruiserweight but none at HW.

                Not that great.

                1) Boxing is his achilles heel - anytime he's struggled, it's been against superior punchers. He himself doesn't have KO power; in fact, he has nothing more than reach/range.

                2) He's not really that great a champion. He's a money-maker, so he's massively hyped. But he's probably the weakest champion in the UFC.

Remember, it wasn't that long ago that guys like Dan Henderson were competing at Heavyweight. Hell, 20 years ago Kazushi Sakuraba and Murilo Bustamante were top dogs in MMA. Period. They were fighting Heavyweights. Today, neither man would ever fight above Welterweight. Even Henderson, who retired as a Middleweight was undersized. He would have commenced his career as a Welterweight.

Greg Jackson was a genius. Rather than risk placing Jones against bigger men, make him a Light Heavyweight champion. Sure, it's way less desirable... until you consider the consequences. Since Jones debuted/won the LHw Belt, how many Heavyweight champions have we had? How many of them would you even pick Jones to beat? When Jones first won the belt the UFC was still trying to land Fedor - a smaller man than Jones, and the guy they were still calling the Hw GOAT.

And let me clarify, I do believe, 100%, that Jones would be a better and more dangerous fighter if he entered the cage 20 pounds heavier. No dis*****g that. But he'd also be a more vulnerable fighter - still the small fish in a big pond. If you need reference, look at Overeem. No one was calling him the "Demolition Man" when he was a LHw, he definitely never displayed even a fraction of the skill we've seen from him in recent years, despite his advanced age. But the dude gets KTFO all the time.

Jones, like Tito Ortiz, realized he'd trade that uncertainty for the long-term growth of becoming an established champion who dominates smaller men. Unlike Corimer and Overeem - who are much more dangerous as Heavyweights - Jones has a style that's very conservative/low energy. In fact, he often wins fights by stealing rounds, and finishing strong in the championship rounds.

But if he moves to Heavyweight, he suddenly loses his heigth and reach advantage, and is getting hit in the face by men who can end the fight with a single punch.

If that's keeping him from challenging for the Heavyweight title in MMA, what does it tell you about his chances as a Boxer?
