Comments Thread For: Mikey Garcia: It's Almost Impossible For Me To Get Title Fight At 140

Mikey Garcia isn't opposed to returning to the 140-pound limit. The four-division champion seems more likely to remain at 147 pounds, though, based on the types of opportunities that are available in those divisions. Not only does Garcia want to become a five-weight world champion by winning a welterweight title, he considers fights against the top two junior welterweights in the sport "almost impossible to make."

The Garcia team ran from Prograis.
    Ramirez was the 1st.
We know Mikey don't want that type of work.
He looks for the 'weak-link' title holder, like Crawford..
Actually, those two should meet(Hooker, Ramirez, & Crawford all w/TR)if he wants to deal w/TR.

Stop lying it was Prograis said he didnt want it that soon. It could have been prograis in teh ring instead of Vargas but Regies didnt want it yet.

Its allright regies probably never get his shot, he already peaked.

Who made the decision to move to 147 in the first place? What Garcia means to say here is the foolish decisions he made in the past have led to his current predicament. Not too long ago he had a title at 140. He would be right in the mix, and probably top guy in the division. Choices have consequences.
