Comments Thread For: Mike Tyson Explains That Wilder Has a Chance To Shock Fury

Former undisputed heavyweight champion and Hall of Famer Mike Tyson has offered some advice to Deontay Wilder on how he can overcome Tyson Fury in their trilogy clash on October 3. Last month, Fury dropped Wilder twice and stopped him in the seventh round to capture the WBC heavyweight title at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Well said champ. Wilder had the downcast listless look even before the cheating started. Wilder definitely has what it takes to win this, and win it he will...

How much does making the sacrifices make all the difference? Should he have a camp away from home? He was sleeping in his own bed every night, eating home cooked meals.

It's always cool to see how some fighters isolate themselves away from family and the comforts of their own homes in preparation. I'm not saying he didn't train hard enough. But some people seem to do better when they make those sacrifices.

Just from one look at his girl, its easy to see why Wilder's legs were shot. She's aging him and taking all his natural bama power away. Some of the best fighters have fell victim to sex during camp and before fights. Deontay is arrogant and thinks he can kill anything he hits one time. He thinks he can do what he wants and maintain that power throughout. But now he has learned that isn't the case. So let's see how champ comes back

Of course, Wilder has a chance, very slim chance to win the third fight. He couldn't fight like the first time because of two reasons.

Firstly, Fury was out of shape in the first fight and Wilder had the confidence that he could win that fight but he didn't.

And secondly, Fury was in far better shape in their second bout and adopted a total deferent strategy by pressing forward, bullying, instead of boxing on the back foot, and Wilder, with his limited boxing abilities, couldn't handle this.

Therefore, for Wilder to win their third he needs to learn how to box from mid-range and inside. That will be a tall task at this stage of his career and his age. However, he still has a chance, not as big as in first fight though.

I honestly thought Fury running out to the center of the ring was one of the coolest parts of the fight.
