It's not like we talk about this fight all the time lol...no issue imo to bring it up occasionally to remind all of us how terrible a decision that fight was...as bad a robbery as it was, it wasn't even the worst one on the card that night...Hooker-Perez is probably the worst robbery I've ever seen live...and Ward-Kov 1 is the worst one I've seen live in a big fight.
The sad part about the fight is that you can't really beat a guy much better than what Kov did vs Ward in fight 1...Ward is good, smart and tough enough to last 12 rounds in a fight like that, 9 out of 10 times at least.
In a big fight, you aren't going to win every round by an obvious margin...there will be at least a few close rounds, and probably close to 5 or 6 at least.
When you drop a guy, whip up on him in the first 6 rounds...and are pretty clearly up 5-1 through 6...(6-0 was a better score than 4-2)....and then the last 6 rounds are competitive (probably 3-3 the right score), with you winning the clearest round (10)...you just should never ever lose that fight.
People hiding out and saying 'it was a close fight that could have gone either way'...you are basically saying that every fight that goes 12 rounds could go either way...it's a joke fellas.
Sometimes your guy loses...it happens...just take the L and move on...if this was a close fight that could have gone either way, then almost every fight ever that goes 12 rounds is a close fight and a pick 'em fight lol.Last edited by Boxing_1013; 03-29-2020, 12:47 AM.Comment
