I had Canelo up at the time of the KO. He was pretty obviously beating Khan's ass by that point, too. He let Khan get his couple of rounds of flashy speed in and then it was Alvarez all the way.

This. Handspeed, footspeed. Reaction times even seem to be slightly better. The combination of those things means the lighter fighters are able to do certain things that heavier fighters can't, as you move up the scale.

Ali was a heavyweight (more like a cruiser these days), but that's why they people lost their minds over how he "moved like a middleweight".

Canelo's got a great ****ing skillset though, it's favours him to sit at the higher weights. As he's too hard to catch clean, and he's a sharp counter puncher.

Khan did better than most thought so he gets the extra credit.

No different than Brook getting credit for the GGG fight.

The outcome is the only thing that matters. If any of those guys rematched they would loose even worst the next time.

The speed Amir Khan was able to function at, was just too much for Canelo Alvarez 'There was nothing much he could do, accept time a good power punch etc'

That’s Khan’s MO. He looks good early and has the hand speed to throw fighters off.
Unfortunately any elite fighter eventually adjusts to his timing and he doesn’t have the power to keep them honest.
Maidana, Danny Garcia, and Canelo all timed him up and two in of them brutally knocked him out.
