So Usyk basically fought to a draw with Briedis, who isn’t very good. It’s worth noting.
he didnt basically fight to a draw, he won. theres a difference between having a close fight and winning and drawing.

it was a VERY close fight, but if you counted the 3/4 most CLEAR rounds, they were all usyks. the rest were very closely contended. from memory, usyk wasnt training with lomas father for that fight. he did for his next fight with gassiev and it showed.

the boxing ability of the cws is way ahead of the hws imo, they are very quick and skilled big guys. usyk wont have the same success at hw, because while he will face lesser boxers from a technical standpoint at hw, they are much bigger and stronger at hw.

Many names can describe Usyk: Highly skilled, agile, moves like a lightweight while being a cruiserweight. Cleaned out, ruled, and unified a strong (albeit less skilled) division. I think it should've stopped there.

His venture into heavyweight is whatever to me. Not sure he can overcome the big size disparity. Like Loma, Usyk is a vet. He should look for good strategic fights as long as he can and get out.

Your critique of Usyk is lame, brother Larry.

He can win a title at heavyweight. Most definitely. The heavyweights are garbage. Look at Wilder and the Mummy Joshua.

If I was Oleg, I wouldn't care about titles. Take the highest paying fights, period.

        Belts are crap.

I was merely pointing out that Usyk fought against a guy who isn’t that great and a draw or 7-5 either way are the only acceptable scores.

We’re discussing whether or not Usyk can win a title at heavyweight so I thought it was valid to point out that someone who could never dream of winning a heavyweight title fought a dead even fight with him.

no, you are wrong as usual

I shlt on Hypekin for... 1) lying to his fans for YEARS... 2) the 'low-risk/low-reward ONLY' strategy that they have employed to his day

he can remain at middleweight if he wishes

but fighters who campaign in 1 division, usually fight EVERYBODY... Golovkin's misses, are utterly ridiculous... he could have simply taken those fights

And Breidis won wide so IDK what you're talking about

Does Tyson Fury have a glass jaw because CW Cunningham dropped him ugly? Does he suck under pressure because the bum Wallin roughed him up and almost stopped him? Nope.

Same applies to Breidis and Usyk.

I think he beats everyone outside of: Fury, Parker, Wilder, Miller.

The Gevor fight was a huge robbery two fights ago against a guy who isn’t top 10 in that division on TBRB. It was two fights after Bredis fought Usyk.

Bredis-Usyk was dead even and Bredis is probably Usyk’s best opponent.

Two fights later Bredis gets a robbery decision over a nobody.

                      That’s a big deal.

I said I think Usyk has a chance against everyone not named Tyson Fury. I just think he’s overrated. the Breidis fight is a huge red flag because it was so close around the time Gevor should have beaten Breidis.

There are other red flags too but they’ve been pointed out. Basically the Bellew and Witherspoon fights.
