As a Mexican/Mexican fight fan, I don't know how you could crap on this matchup. By all expectations, this one should be an all action classic! This is what great fighters are all about. It's up to them to take the fight and it's also up to them whether they want to focus on defense or not in order to protect themselves from serious damage.
Great Mexican warriors of the past took fights like this all the time. A big win for either fighter here would raise their profile, status and repuation and lead them to even bigger paydays. What's wrong with that?

Oh what a fight that will be! If it comes down to trainers Berchelt already wins that war, hands down. I like Valdez as much as I like any fighter which is quite a bit. If Valdez didn't jump into Reynose's wagon I would be sure he could give Berchelt a handfull. But Valdez is diminishing in comfort level in the ring and trying to be something he's not. To watch him grab and hold is like watching me dance. Not a pretty picture! The heart is there in both and that is what makes this interesting. Both have chins and both know how to destroy with confidence. I hope Valdez comes to his senses and gets out of the grasp of a freeriding, overhyped name posing as his trainer before his career gets past his potential.

You clearly did not read the "damaged goods" part... it's true... Mexicans kill each other and some nobody comes up to take advantage of the wounded warriors...
