Well he beat the almighty Gerald Washington who stopped Helenius and who Wilder stopped, anyone that Wilder beats automatically = ATG, and if you can beat an ATG then you are a legitimate contender....
Of course, and never forget how he far he pushed Joshua in that closely fought war for the IBF title. That was easily FOTY IMO.
