Comments Thread For: Muhammad Ali and The Coronavirus

By Thomas Hauser - Someone asked me recently what I thought Muhammad Ali would make of the burgeoning coronavirus crisis. Let's start by noting what Ali was not. He was a not a doctor. He was not a scientist. He was not socio-economic planner. He was not always a practical rational thinker. But the world could use his voice today...

    AMEN. WAR HYGIENE!

As I said weeks ago, this is a test for world hygiene. The serious and responsible will help stop spread. If you ever see ANYBODY making a sandwich at your favorite joint without wearing gloves then you have my permission to SLAP them.

Thomas Hauser article in one of the best.

People is making a huge fuss in panic mode and is worsening the situation, when we need the people to calm down, take a deep breath and think how to fight the situation and obtain the resolve and convictions that we need to break this puzzle.

The solution is simple. A virus can't replicate on its own, and outside, the virus has a short life. Therefore, that's the reason why govt.'s want people to isolate themselves. Those whom have it will develop antibodies and move on. We then have to wait for the vaccine for it months ahead.

The problem is the ratio of contagion from a person who has recovered from it to pass it on to someone who hasn't had it.

To put in perspective, everyone in their lifetime will have encountered a TYPE of coronavirus in their lifetime. Covid-19 is one type of coronavirus family...so they say..

Ebola has a crazier mortality rate of 50% you get it, you die. The world has done a good job helping not spread its strain.

I'm still very skeptic of Covid-19's origin. It's not farfetched to believe biological warfare or experimentation could be the case...just like the theory for HIV-1..

Can we please just get back to boxing and actual boxing writing? This is the kind of article that happens when people are bored out of their mind. Who gives a sh ! T what Ali would have thought. He doesn’t think he’s gone.

Look around. There is no boxing going on it’s all cancelled. That’s why these articles are happening. Their is no boxing to go back to.

Good information and I agree. I admit this is one of my weaknesses. I found this article that shed some light about the Corona Virus: https://www.livescience.com/coronavi...gDwPqTP5yH-Lw0

I am trying to learn more about this issue. There are conspiracy everywhere about the Corona Virus that is confusing the people. In my country, the political are lying and they are holding the true information, making this problem worse and in the process, making people more panic.

I've read several books on Muhammad Ali and watched countless documentaries about his personal and professional life. Ali was more than just the greatest boxer to ever lace them up, he was a role model to his community and to the world. He will forever be remembered for his bravery in and out of the ring, RIP champ!
