Remember that Martin has an L to Adam Kownacki on his record, so we already have a yardstick as to how he copes with the "pressure fighting fat guy" archetype, and I think Ruiz is probably all-round better than Kownacki. I'd favour Ruiz by UD or mid-late stoppage, with Martin only really having a puncher's chance.

This is a good fight if it happens . I would lean towards andy . But I wouldn't be surprised if martin pulled it off . I would pick ruiz via SD or UD

Jfc man. After both of their performances (Andy's 2nd more than his 1st obviously) I don't see any desire in or a point for a new opportunity vs AJ. The IBF needs to shuffle the deck more when mfers already had their shot I feel like. Make a mini tournament or something to make more hoops to jump through if we got too many repeat title shot guys.

This could be a good action fight.

Agree. Its still a good fight though. Martin has a chance to legitimize himself while Ruiz gets to show whether he’s back. The rest of the division can wait until it isn’t considered weak outside the top 10.

These IBF rankings have Hunter at #4 https://www.ibf-usba-boxing.com/inde...gs/ibf-ratings Guess Hearn heard the plan and quickly sent over a cheque to prevent PBC getting a free shot at Joshua

Ruiz simply walks him down and batters him. Martin doesn't seem to like a fight, so unless he turns into a better boxer in the coming months he would get overwhelmed by Andy pressure.

This, of course, is based on the idea that Ruiz actually trains and puts an effort in.

Depends which version of Ruiz shows up. I lean him 55/45

Ruiz should win even though he "iffy" right now.

Was literally about to post the same thing. Martin could definitely outbox him especially if he’s in similar shape to the zorb that fought AJ in Saudi Arabia.
