Tyson wasn't even at a max prison. Due to his celebrity he was a man in his mid 20s serving time at was actually a juvenile facility.

Even Mike himself would admit his mental issues were there long before his prison stint.

All went home to his wife and kids every night while fighting the government. And Tyson fury was a admitted coke head. Apple's and oranges.

Whether its 3 years in county jail, minimum security, medium security, or max security. It doesn't matter.

I read Mike was over 270lbs when he went to prison, but one year in daily runs and workouts, shadow boxing had him down to 224lbs. I read he looked lighter than his 218lbs fighting weight when he came out. When he did his 3.5 month stint in Maryland he said he gained 60lbs. I don’t know if any of these are accurate, but just thought I’d put it out there.

Teddy’s words about Tyson are definitely to be taken with a grain of salt. What most people consider to be his prime, he lost once.

Near his prime (what I hear often), he lost to Evander. No shame in that.

So, in or near his prime he lost twice. He was mentally weak but he was the youngest HW Champ ever. He still had to beat the guys that he did. He could’ve just folded himself and never become champion at that age.

That’s the BS in Teddy’s retelling of how Mike was as a fighter.

You don’t become thee champion in boxing in any division, especially at HW being mentally weak. If that’s the case, why doesn’t it happen more often?

These type of threads never work, a fighter is only as good as when he’s on point. Those saying M.Tyson never won a fight has some serious issues with Mike himself because it’s not logical . Teddy A. knows Tyson took multiple Lewis right hands before going down late and that was a Tyson who just stood in front of Lewis after a few rounds ,to say he quit is hilarious and worrying that some on here believe that. Mike Tyson was on drugs ,drinking and had real mental issues that he had to take depress pills or sedatives while in real boxing bouts to calm him down ,Fury was not no where near the state Mike Tyson was, come on ,he was also in prison when he was still relatively peak even with the less efforts he put into his training , your comparing yourself to an elite fighter who went up against other elite guys as if that’s the same thing that you came back. Did you fight Holyfield and Lewis type guys ? Ha .
