Okay, okay, I might as well be asking what you think of Elvis's new single, but I forgot to ask at the time and I'm genuinely curious.
While I have no doubt that Mayweather won and Judah was lucky to get away without points deductions (though if they were strictly following the rules Zab would have won by DQ) I can't understand how the judges had it so wide, particularly in the round where Floyd looked lucky to get away without a KD being called.
Judah put up a lot better performance than I expected, and I wonder exactly how much was down to Floyd figuring out his style, and Zab just slowing down as he always does?
After five rounds, I had Zab ahead. At the halfway stage of the fight, I had it even. After that it all kind of went to pot, though after saying hello to Floyd's nuts I thought Zab managed to grab one of the two championship rounds (can't remember which) on the cards, too.
So my final scorecard was something along the lines of 116-112, mirroring Dave Moretti's card. But how did Jerry Roth have it 117-111, and more importantly, how did Glen Hamada give Floyd 11 rounds? This doesn't bode well for future Mayweather opponents...
