Pac is probably going to do the EM fight and then, if MAB can get by Juarez, maybe rematch him and retire. I think he's only looking for big money fights right now.
I would be utterly shocked if we ever saw Pacquiao-Valero, but certainly not disappointed. Pacquiao has stated that he plans on fighting 2 more times and then retiring, as he wishes to go out on top and eyes a possible future in politics. Edwin Valero is medically prohibited from fighting in the US because of a head injury he sustained in a motorcycle accident a few years ago.
For this fight to happen, Pacquiao would have to stage the fight in another country, and thus in lies the conflict. Valero fights exclusively in South America, whereas Pacquiao has staged fights in his native Philippines and US. Valero would have to go to Manila to defend his title if this fight were to take place, and Im not sure that he would be willing to make the trip around the world to face a guy he probably can't beat.
If Valero is able to gain medical clearance in America, he would then need to fight a few times so that he can gain a following in the US. By that time, Pacquiao will likely have retired and moved on to other things. As a fight fan, I would love to see this fight. However, the chances of it coming off are slim to none. And thats being an optimist.
